PROOQ technology operations in the United States
Why USA
After more than a decade operating PROOQ S.A. in Panama, two signals pushed to open presence in the United States:
- Panamanian clients with binational operations who requested coordinated support on both sides of the border (especially in Florida and Texas).
- Latino/Hispanic community in the American midwest with enterprise technology needs but few options that understand their culture, their language, and the US regulatory reality at the same time.
PROOQ LLC was constituted in 2025 as a US entity based in Chicago, to serve that gap with a genuinely bilingual approach — not superficial translation but full operation in Spanish and English.
My role
Founder. I carry the responsibility for the legal/fiscal setup in the US, the development of the initial client portfolio, and the coordination with the PROOQ S.A. team so that both entities operate as a single organism.
Differentiator
PROOQ LLC doesn’t compete with large American consultancies or generic MSPs. It competes with a specific combo:
- Native bilingual — professional communication with Latino owners without loss in technical translation.
- Knows both markets — knows how a Central American Walmart and an Illinois Costco work, which matters when a client has cross-border operations.
- Panamanian stack + US compliance — we use the same Suite HUB as in Panama but adapted to US state sales tax instead of DGI / ITBMS.
Initial lines
1. Bilingual consulting
Accompaniment to Spanish-speaking SMBs in the US that want to digitize operations: choosing POS, integrating payments, automating invoicing, configuring networks.
2. Technology infrastructure
Same model as PROOQ S.A. — design and implementation of networks, CCTV, telephony, but with brands and providers available locally (Ubiquiti, Verkada as an American alternative to DAHUA/HIKVISION when the client requires it).
3. Suite HUB Pro
Suite HUB Pro implementations with configuration for the US market:
- State sales tax instead of Panama ITBMS
- Integration with Stripe / Square instead of DGI PACs
- Multi-language in interface for bilingual staff
4. Drone operations (FAA Part 107)
Professional aerial capture under FAA license, in collaboration with AeroVision Studio. Specialty: real estate, construction, corporate events in Chicago metro area and ad hoc client trips.
Operation
- Legal headquarters: Chicago, IL
- Main operation: remote from Panama with rotating physical presence in the US according to project
- Back-office team: shared with PROOQ S.A. (accounting, management)
- Initial coverage: Chicago metro, Florida, Texas (areas with high density of Latino SMBs)
Roadmap
- 2026: 10 established recurring clients in the US, first locally hired field technician
- 2027: physical Chicago office, certified local partner, services marketplace
- 2028+: expansion to more states according to demand
